The Accomplishment Report for CY 2008 is a compendium of all the accomplishment reports of different offices under the administration of Governor Niel D. Tupas, Sr.

The accomplishment of the different offices were based on the targets set by the 3-Year Strategic Development Thrusts and Priorities for CY 2008-2010 of the Province of Iloilo. This plan cities development drives or opportunities conductive to the growth and development of the Province. Correspondingly, the plan also identifies challenge, weakness and concerns that limit and hinder the development of the Province of Iloilo and the improvement of the quality of life of the Ilonggos.

Although, the Province of Iloilo is faced with priority issues and concerns, like high incidence of poverty, high population growth, unemployment, and low agricultural productivity, the Tupas administration tried to address these issues and concerns  by adopting the strategic development framework.

The Accomplishment Report for CY 2007 represented the accomplishment of the Iloilo under the auspices of Governor Niel D. Tupas, Sr.

These accomplishment were based on the strategic development framework of the Province of Iloilo which focused on the improvement of the quality of Life of the Ilonggos. Although the province is faced with priority issues and concern like high incidence of poverty, high population growth rate, unemployment, critical forest cover peace and order, political turmoil, the province tried to address these priority concerns and issues in spite of various constraints and limitations in resource by adopting the 9 Priority Governance Agenda:

a) Enhance Agriculture and Aquaculture Production

b) Environmental protection and conservation

c) Maintain Peace in Order

d) Increase job generation through entrepreneurship development

e) Sustain effective and efficient basic health and welfare services

f) Education and Skill Development

g) Adoption of the latest state of the art information technology

h) Energize the Iloilo Province Government Organization

i) Broaden the participation of Non-government Organization (NGOs) and the Civil society Association (CSAs)

The Annual Accomplishment Report for CY 2006 indicated the accomplishment of the Province of  Iloilo under the administration of Governor Niel D. Tupas, Sr.  The accomplishments of different sectors were focused on the achievement based on the 9 priority governance agenda of the administration, mainly enhanced agriculture and aquaculture production, environmental protection and conservation, maintain peace and order, increase job generation through entrepreneurship development, adoption of the latest state of the art information technology, energize the Iloilo Provincial Government Organization and broaden participation of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Associations (CSAs) and the private sector.

Under the Economic Services, Agriculture sector focused on the intensified agriculture and aquaculture production as its strategic direction. For CY 2006, the Province targeted to surpass passed years production and maintain its position as top 3 leading producers of rice in the whole country.

Calendar Year 2004 was a tragic year for the entire world. Catastrophic events occurred brought about by international terrorism, economic crisis, civil wars, plagues, floods, conflagrations, landslides and super typhoons.

Our country was not spared with its own crisis and sorrows when during the last quarter of CY 2004, the provinces of Aurora and Mindoro were devastated by super typhoons and flashfloods. Thousands of lives were lost and agricrops, infrastructure facilities, houses and commercial activities were damaged and disrupted.

For CY 2005, our country is being battered by political instability, street unrest, peso devaluation, terrorism, spiraling cost of fuel, high rate of unemployment to name a few. However, inspite of all these tragedies and calamities, Iloilo Province scored success particularly in the areas of agriculture, environmental protection, education, health and peace and order.
